Jasmine Shu wins NSF Fellowship
Bioengineering Graduate Student and Dahl Lab member Jasmine Shu has been selected by the National Science Foundation (NSF) to receive a Graduate Research Fellowship. The NSF Graduate Research Fellowship Program (GRFP) recognizes and supports outstanding graduate students in NSF-supported science, technology, engineering, and mathematics (STEM) disciplines who are pursuing research-based Master's and doctoral degrees at accredited United States institutions. The NSF fellowship awards a stipend for up to 5 years, and covers all tuition and fees for 3 years within that 5-year period.
The NSF GRFP is highly competitive, with over 12,000 applications received this year, and only 2,000 award offers given. Jasmine looks forward to utilizing the NSF support to pursue advanced engineering coursework and further her own research within the Dahl ultrasound lab.
