Comprehensive Cancer Center, the Stanford Transgenic Mouse Research
Facility is set to produce your transgenic and knockout mouse models.
The facility provides low-cost DNA microinjection services, ES cell manipulation,
microinjection, and new ES cell derivation services to all Stanford as
well as external investigators. The facility also provides services on
timed pregnant females, strain rederivation, sperm cryopreservation and
ICSI procedures for resurrecting frozen sperms.
Dr. Michael Cleary is the Faculty Advisor of the facility who oversees the policy and operation of the facility. Dr. Yanru Chen-Tsai is the Director of the facility with responsibility for its overall operation. She is also the Associate Director for Cancer Center Shared Resources. The facility has an advisory board consisting of Dr. Michael Cleary (Pathology), Dr. Julien Sage (Pediatrics), Dr. Greg Barsh (Genetics and Pediatrics), and Dr. Sherri Green (Comparative Medicine), and Dr. Dean Felsher (Oncology). Oversight is also provided by the Cancer Center senior leadership to ensure that the needs of Cancer Center members are met. Dr. Hong Zeng and Dr. Jeewon Kim are Research Scientists; Jennifer Lin, Judy Song, Charlene Wang ,Yanfeng Li are research assistants of the facility.
