Dear SMS 2012,
My name is Lindsay Sceats, and along with my co-SWEAT Super Leader Megan Roosen-Runge and the 25 other second year SWEAT leaders, we would like to extend a very warm welcome to Stanford Med! We hope you are relaxing and enjoying your last summer prior to beginning medical school, but it is time to begin thinking about participating in SMS's one-of-a-kind wilderness orientation trip, SWEAT. SWEAT will be held from August 18th-21st, with a required organizational meeting on August 17th. Last year 90% of the incoming class participated, and this year we are hoping for 100% participation. This trip is fun for everyone from wilderness newbies to the more-Outward Bound minded among you.
- Students can move into campus housing Thursday, August 16th.
- SWEAT Orientation begins at 3pm on Friday, August 17th.
- The SWEAT trip leaves from campus the morning of Saturday, August 18th and returns to campus midday on Tuesday, August 21st.
