Some ideas for 2009 New Year Resolutions . . .
- I resolve to have all my personnel trained to dial 286 from SoM buildings (211 from hospital buildings, 9-911 from other Stanford buildings, and 911 from cell phones) for all types of emergencies.
- I resolve to update my department's/lab's personnel rosters on a quarterly basis.
- I resolve to bookmark the Health and Safety Programs Website on my browser and set up an RSS feed to the Health and Safety Blog.
- I resolve to make sure that all new staff in my department have received appropriate training.
- I resolve to work with the Health and Safety Programs Office on lab activation and deactivations.
- I resolve to complete self-inspections and correct regulatory inspection deficiencies on time.
- I resolve to integrate health and safety into research and operations.
- I resolve to help update my department's emergency plan and take steps to protect my equipment and sensitive research material.
- I resolve to update my chemical inventories on a timely basis.
- I resolve to using green alternatives whenever possible.
