If you have completed a minimum of three academic quarters as a matriculated, degree-seeking student, in a degree-granting program you are a member of both Alumni Associations.

The Stanford Medical Center Alumni Association is a separate organization from the Stanford Alumni Association.  SAA charges annual membership fees.

As a member of SUMCAA, you receive:

  • Access to the Alumni Directory
  • A Stanford email account, at no charge to you from the Stanford Alumni Association. To obtain your email account, please see instructions here. Stanford Medical Center certificate holders (Interns, Residents, Medical Fellows, and Postdocs) are not eligible for an email address through SAA.
  • Invitations to the Medical Center Alumni Weekend and to SUMCAA/SAA events in your area
  • Services in career and professional development
  • Access to the myriad of opportunities in continuing education and travel.
  • Stanford Medicine magazine

If you were a post-doc, resident, intern or fellow at the Stanford Medical Center, you are automatically a member of the SUMCAA.

For more information on membership, please visit the Stanford Alumni Association Membership website.

If you would like to change your mail preference, just let us know which mailings you would like to receive.

Anyone who finished three quarters of a degree-granting program and all former post-docs, residents, interns, and fellows.

Good news!  If you have graduated from the Stanford University School of Medicine with either a degree or certificate, you are automatically entered into the Medical Center Alumni Association.  To verify that we have received your information correctly, please contact us or click on "Update Your Contact Information" on the left column of this page.

Stanford School of Medicine degree holders (M.D. or Ph.D.) are eligible for an alumni webmail option “@alumni.stanford.edu,” which is issued through the Stanford Alumni Association (SAA).

Here's what to do:
Step 1: Click Here
Step 2: Create a username a password, if you have not yet registered.
Step 3: SAA will take it from there!

Stanford Medical Center certificate holders (Interns, Residents, Medical Fellows, and Postdocs) are not eligible for an email address through SAA.

Stanford has the ability to tailor your mailing preferences in a fairly intricate manner. Do you only want to hear from the Medical Center or do you want to get on a mailing list you are not currently on? Just let us know! Or perhaps you do not want to receive emails or phone calls. Tell us.

You will need to have or register for a Username and password.  On the homepage, go to Alumni Community, then Online Directory to login.  Once in your profile, click on Privacy Settings. You will have the option to "hide" all information except for your name and year.

The best way to find a fellow alumnus/a is through our on-line directory search. You will need your Stanford University Identification Number (SUID) or your degree, birthdate and major and will be asked to create a username and password. Contact us if you would like to get your SUID.

If you are not an alumnus/a or do not have internet access, you can contact us with the first and last name of the person you are trying to reach along with your contact information. In order to protect the privacy of Medical Center alumni, we will contact the alumnus/a on your behalf.

Visit the Stanford University Registrar for information on requesting your transcripts.
