| WiFi on Caltrain & U-line (everywhere) |
Transportation |
|
| For people who ride Caltrain and can no longer use Margarite, is it possible to have a shuttle or van to transport people to and from the station? That may be too expensive to run all day, but perhaps it could meet trains during the morning and afternoon commute hours. |
Transportation |
Shuttle may make stops at MP caltrain station during commute hours |
| For people who ride bikes (either to and from Caltrain or for their entire commute) it would be helpful to have a shower available in the facility. Also, the building should have sufficient bike lockers -- the kind that the bike fits inside where it is protected from rain and from vandals. The shower and lockers will also encourage staff to bike to and from campus as a form of transportation rather than driving both directions. |
Transportation |
Shower available; bike lockers will be installed. |
| If you want to encourage cycling, provide a discount on rain gear at a local bike shop. |
Transportation |
|
| Pump available for bike tires |
Transportation |
|
| I'm sure there will be ways of getting to and from the med school campus. However, many people will also want to be on campus to take advantage of Stanford's excellent athletic facilities. Perhaps a van could be available to take all people interested in using those facilities at a set time every day. That way people can continue to take advantage of staff benefits without needing to drive and then find parking in the notoriously overcrowded lot. |
Transportation |
Shuttle proposal being analyzed |
| to encourage fewer people to drive on to campus, have a fleet of maintained bikes available for general use. |
Transportation |
Bike fleet has been approved |
| Staff on campus can participate in the guaranteed ride home program. I'd like to ensure that program continues to exist at the new location. |
