Bomin Sun is Director of Center for Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery, Ruijin Hospital, Shanghai Jiao Tong University School of Medicine.

Dr. Sun is the president of the Asian Australian Society of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery(AASSFN) and Vice president of World Society of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery (WSSFN). He served as a member of Board of Directors (Section of Stereotactic and Functional Neurosurgery), World Federation of Neurosurgical Surgery (WFNS) and a member of Board of Directer of Asian Epilepsy Surgery Congress. He received his bachelor degree in Medicine at Anhui TCM school of medicine, Master degree at Kunming Medical College, PhD degree in Shandong University School of medicine. He spent 6 years as a clinical and research fellow in UCLA medical center. Dr. Sun has published and presented internationally on topics related to neurosurgical treatments for movement disorders epilepsy surgery especially for psychiatric disorders. He lunched the Consensus on guidelines for stereotactic neurosurgery for psychiatric disorders which more than 20 countries authors joined. He edited a book, Surgical treatments for Psychiatric disorders which was published by Springer in 2014. He developed subthalamic nucleus stimulation for primary dysotina(2003) and surgical treatment for anorexia nervosa (2006) in the World.
