You will receive an email by April 1, 2024, regarding admission decision.

Due to limited resources and capacity, we are unable to guarantee admission to the clinical academy to all applicants. Applicants will be notified of their acceptance in accordance to our application timeline. 

The program format for 2024 will be in-person dependant on Stanford Policy

There is a non-refundable application fee of $50.  Payments are made by credit card through the application website.

If accepted, there will be a program fee of about $4,500.  A $500 deposit will be required prior to full payment.  Recipients of the scholarship will only be required to provide a $50 deposit to secure their place in the program.  This deposit is refundable at the start of the program. 

Payments can be made by credit card.

We are excited to announce a partial scholarship for high achieving students who demonstrate significant financial aid needs. The scholarship will be contingent on an acceptance to the Clinical Academy.   To learn how to qualify click here

The application fee of $50 and $500 deposit are non-refundable.  50% of the final payment (not including deposit) will be refunded if an accepted applicant withdraws before July 1st, 2024.   After July 1st, 2024, there will be no refunds.

We are unable to provide housing to those attending the program.

Students will receive lunch and snacks. 

Scrubs and closed toes shoes will be recommended during activities such as dissections, suturing, and anatomy lab; students will be notified ahead of time.

Students will be provided with white coats, scrubs, and stethoscopes. 

Please do not wear tank tops, open-toed shoes, cut-off shorts, and ensure no undergarments are visible. 

We will not be providing transportation.

We have a zero-tolerance policy for the possesson and/or use of alcohol, tobacco, e-cigarettes, vapor devices, weapons, and drugs. Use or possession will result in immediate expulsion and any costs associated are at your expense.  

• Accepted applicants are required to provide a copy of the following immunizations with registration to attend (no exceptions):

• TdaP (preteen booster age 11-12)
• 2 MMRs
• 2 Varicella (chicken pox) immunizations - or MD confirmation of illness, or laboratory evidence of illness (antibodies)
• Meningococcal vaccine – initial as preteen and booster at 16-18
• TB test - evidence of immunity within one year of the start of the internship via PPD/Mantoux skin test or TB Quantiferon antibody test
• Hepatitis B vaccination series

Stanford School of Medicine and Stanford HealthCare Tri-Valley may each have regulations regarding COVID-19 vaccination. Those accepted to the program must comply to these regulations or they may not be able to participate. These are subject to change and updated depending on the current circumstance.

This program is a clinically oriented experience and students may come in contact with patients during workshops, so it is important to know that they are healthy and do not have any communicable diseases, in particular tuberculosis. Documentation of a negative TB test (Mantoux or Quantiferon) within the preceding year is therefore required. If you have received the BCG tuberculosis vaccine, you will send need to send in a negative Quantiferon result.
