WEB SITES LAUNCHED

Staff physicians are being asked to review the Physician Directory section on the Stanford Hospital and Clinics and Lucile Packard Children's Hospital Web sites to assure that the information is accurate and appropriate for the general public.

A form SHC physicians should use to edit their information has been inserted in this issue of Medical Staff Update, and is also available through the use of this link [ Form ]. The form contains information about how to access staff directory information on the Web. (LPCH staff members will be receiving their update forms separately.)

The Web sites are intended to help consumers and patients access health services more easily.

One of the key features of the new sites is a complete list of the various clinics and medical services at both hospitals, along with phone numbers, addresses and printable maps for each location.

The new URL for the Stanford Hospital and Clinics site is: www.stanfordhospital. com.

The URL for Packard Children's Hospital is: www.lpch.org.

Mary Ellen Fontana, vice president for marketing and communications at Stanford Hospital, noted that both sites are being launched in phases. This first phase is focused on access for the general public in order to help consumers find and use services at the hospitals. Future phases will provide additional content for employees, physicians and patients.

Meanwhile, physicians can continue to access a link to Stanford Hospital medical staff bylaws.
