B1 serves surgical patients

The B1 Unit, most recently used by Packard Children's Hospital to serve adolescent psychiatric patients, was converted Oct. 1 to serve SHS surgical patients, announced Isabel Uibel, assistant director of nursing. Meanwhile, Uibel announced that F1, which until Oct. 1 had served a mixture of surgical and obstetrics patients, has become part of the new Johnson Center at LPCH and admits only perinatal patients. Joan Caldwell was appointed nurse manager along with her continuing duties as manager of F3 (Neurology/The Inn at Stanford). Roberta Simmons was named assistant nurse manager of B1. |
