![]() With a $1.9 million grant awarded by the NIH this Fall, Mary Lake Polan, left, and Linda Giudice, plan to launch a Women's Reproductive Health Research (WRHR) Scholars Career Development Center at Stanford - one of only 10 such centers nationwide. The program, initiated by the National Institute of Child Health and Human Development and by the Office of Research on Women's Health, aims to increase the number and skills of gyn/ob investigators through mentored research experiences. Polan, the project's principal investigator, is professor and chair of gynecology and obstetrics. Giudice is a professor of gyn/ob, chief of reproductive endocrinology and infertility and director of Stanford's Center for Research on Women's Health and Reproductive Medicine. |
