Health Library opens Ravenswood branch

The Stanford Hospital Health Library opened a new branch April 29 in East Palo Alto’s Ravenswood Family Health Center, where visitors have free access to the Library’s nationally-recognized, multilingual and multimedia health information collection.

The Ravenswood Family Health Center, 1807 Bay Road in East Palo Alto, annually serves an average of 10,000 people in East Palo Alto, East Menlo Park and North Fair Oaks in Redwood City.

This year, the Ravenswood Center expanded its services to include a dental clinic and a center focused on preventive health care, said Luisa Buada, CEO of Ravenswood Family Health Center. “It’s the perfect time to bring our two organizations together, creating access to health resources for patients and residents of the community.”

The Stanford Hospital Health Library marks its 20th anniversary this year. Other locations include Stanford Hospital, Stanford Cancer Center, the Stanford Shopping Center and the Oshman Family Jewish Community Center in Palo Alto. http://healthlibrary.stanford.edu
