Christopher D. Sharp, has recently been appointed medical director for Clinical Informatics at SHC, the hospital has announced.
Sharp, an attending physician in general medicine with Stanford Medical Group, will spend 50 percent of his time in this new position with the goal of providing medical direction for the planning, design, development, and implementation of the electronic medical record as SHC pursues the goal of clinical transformation. Reporting to Kevin Tabb, chief quality and medical information officer, Sharp will serve as a liaison to the physician community and will leverage information solutions to improve quality in clinical care.
Sharp previously served as medical director for D/E Ground Inpatient Medicine Units for three years. He is a graduate of Dartmouth Medical School and completed his medicine residency at Stanford.
