Dr. Ahmed joined the Liver Transplant Program in July 1999 as a Staff
Physician and became an Assistant Professor of Medicine in July 2000.
He is a graduate of Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan and completed
postgraduate training in internal medicine at Brown University. He then
completed fellowship training in gastroenterology and hepatology at Stanford
University Medical Center followed by one additional year of training
in general and transplant hepatology. He is interested in the management
of hepatitis C post-transplant.
