Novel Silicon Nanophotonic Structures for Ultra-compact Integrated Lab-on-a-chip Sensing

TEM-IMPRNT sequencing utilizes single atom resolution transmission electron microscope imaging of HMW (150 kb+) DNA base-selectively labeled with heavy atom markers and arranged on ultra-thin films in ultra-dense (3 nm strand-to-strand) parallel arrays with consistent base-to-base spacing. Our models indicate that with appropriate scaling, automation, and optimization, the approach will allow whole genome/methylome sequencing at a rate of 6 min/genome with >99.9999% consensus accuracy and completeness as well as full haplotyping."
