Hoover Pavilion, 211 Quarry Road / Farquhar Room, 4th floor
: Stanford, CA
Fluid dynamics can be greatly altered by disease, but is it the disease or the alteration that comes first? Why are men at a greater risk for cardiovascular and renal disease than age-matched PRE menopausal women? What protective effect lessens in women upon the onset of menopause? This seminar will focus on the milieu of renal and sex hormones and how the interactions may contribute to disease.
