SOMAscan is a unique protein measurement system that can quantify over 1000 proteins over 8 logs with sensitivity in low fM, using slow-off-rate modify aptamers. It has been used in over 30,000 clinical samples to date, which has driven experience in controlling the risk of false discoveries, discovering individual markers and complex patterns, using normal physiology as a truth standard and a correction factor, redefining disease in multidimensional space and diagnostics as multidimensional products.
