About 10.8% of US adults and 7.6% of children have been doctor-diagnosed with food allergies. It is also estimated that $25 billion is spent each year on food allergy care for children. In this talk, Drs. Kari Nadeau and Howard Chang will discuss current asthma management guidelines in children and the tools for understanding mechanisms of asthma in children, respectively. Their talks will look at the research they are doing in genome-wide studies and allergy susceptibility.
