4th Annual Emmet B. Keeffe Liver Symposium “Liver cancer: Recent Advances and Future Frontiers”

The Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Stanford University is hosting the annual liver symposium in honor of Dr. Emmet B. Keeffe, who was the Chief of Hepatology, and Medical Director of the Liver Transplantation at Stanford University from 1995 to 2008. Dr. Keeffe published more than 700 original papers, and reviews, and was a dedicated mentor to numerous highly successful academicians across the country. This year’s symposium will focus on recent advances and future frontiers in liver cancer. Hepatocellular carcinoma and cholangiocarcinoma are two major forms of primary liver cancer, which is an urgent global health problem.
