Eugene Butcher, M.D., 2004 Crafoord Prize Recipient

Eugene Butcher, MD, Professor of Pathology, with Dr. Tim Springer of Harvard University, won the Crafoord Prize in Polyarthritis 2004. This award is given by the Royal Swedish Academy of Sciences, for their studies of the molecular mechanisms involved in migration of white blood cells in health and disease. This is an outstanding recognition of Dr. Butcher's seminal, and ongoing, contributions to this field.
