Manisha Desai, Ph.D is Associate Professor of Medicine and by courtesy of Health Research & Policy. She joined Stanford in 2009 after spending 9 years on the faculty of the Department of Biostatistics at Columbia University. While there, she contributed to many areas of medical research including cancer, genomics, oral health, and psychiatric epidemiology. She has extensive experience in the design and analysis of clinical trials as well as epidemiologic studies. Her areas of methodological interest include the analysis of correlated and clustered data, methods for analyzing epidemiologic studies, the design of clinical trials, and the handling of missing data. Dr. Desai is a recent recipient of a PCORI award to study multiple imputation methods for handling missing data induced by time-varying covariates in comparative effectivenes studies of HIV patients.
