Gary Glover Honored

Lauterbur Lecture

Dr Gary Glover was given the distinguished honor of presenting the closing lecture at the ISMRM on Thursday, June 21, 2018.

The Lauterbur Lecture is named for Nobel Laureate  and founding member of the ISMRM predecessor society, Society of Magnetic Resonance in Medicine (SMRM), Paul C. Lauterbur.

Prof. Lauterbur and Sir Peter Mansfield won the Nobel Prize for Physiology or Medicine in 2003 for their "seminal discoveries concerning the use of magnetic resonance to visualize different structures. These discoveries have led to the development of modern magnetic resonance imaging, MRI, which represents a breakthrough in medical diagnostics and research."

Dr Glover gave an insightful and entertaining presentation  entitled "MRI in Yon Times of Yore".
