Program
Stanford Center for Clinical and Translational Education and Research (SCCTER) announces a new program of support for pilot studies directed at two needs: improving methods for clinical trials as well as novel translational clinical trials.
Novel clinical and translational methodologies might include new directions in trial design or analysis, solutions to problems related to research ethics, new informatics methods that address critical bottlenecks in clinical and translational research, methods for improving outreach and recruitment, retention and protocol adherence, as well as successful follow-up of patient outcomes.
Pilot clinical trials should involve human subjects and translational medicine components, testing a hypothesis and resulting in data which would support a more extensive, R01-type of grant application.
Funding for this program is provided by the T. Robert and Katherine States Burke Fund and the Stanford Center for Clinical and Translational Education and Research (SCCTER)
