All Innovations in Patient Care Grant applications due.

Purpose:

The Innovations in Patient Care (IPC) Grant Program at Lucile Packard Children's Hospital at Stanford is designed to solicit and fund original, well-developed, cutting-edge proposals which strive to:
1. Improve the quality of patient care at LPCH through innovative interventions.
2. Promote the efficient and appropriate use of resources and diagnostic and therapeutic services at LPCH.
3. Address issues of uncertainty or variations in patient care.
4. Control and/or reduce the cost of patient care while maintaining or improving quality.
Your proposal may target areas such as clinical care methods, patient education, error prevention, access to care, customer service, cost reduction, documentation and more.

Amount of funding: up to $25,000
The Innovations in Patient Care grant is not time-specific, i.e. the budget that you request should  consider all expenses that you expect to incur for the duration of your project, regardless of whether you expect to complete it in six months or two years or more.

Eligibility:
All LPCH employees and medical staff from all disciplines of patient care are invited to submit applications.  First-time and new researchers are especially encouraged to apply.  If you have previously submitted to Innovations in Patient Care, but did not receive an award, you are also invited to resubmit your proposal. Applications are not eligible if the project has received total or partial funding from another source.
