Amount of funding: Total costs budgeted will not exceed $1,000,000 for Single-PI applications. Total costs budgeted will not exceed $1,500,000 for Multiple-PI applications.
Purpose: The FY20 RTRP Investigator-Initiated Research Award is intended to support studies that have the potential to make an important contribution to reconstructive transplant research, patient care, and/or quality of life. Though the RTRP Investigator-Initiated Research Award mechanism supports groundbreaking research, all projects must demonstrate solid scientific rationale with military-relevant utility. Multi-institutional collaborations among clinicians and research scientists are encouraged.
Eligibility: Independent investigators - Faculty with PI eligibility and CE faculty (with an approved CE faculty PI waiver obtained through their RPM in RMG prior to the pre-application/letter of intent) may be the PI (Initiating or Partnering PI for Multiple PI Option).
