OBI Financial Reporting - Alex Ochoa, Research Financial Compliance and Services. Alex will provide and overview of the newly released PI Quarterly Review and Certification (RM3 149 Report) including the different views and scheduling of the report. In addition, he will demonstrate the OBI version of the Expenditure Award Report (RM3 179 Report) and the different features.

NIH Updates - Sonia Barragan, Research Management Group
Sonia will review several of the latest NIH Guide Notices including a recent policy change on required effort during a no-cost extension period.

SeRA Updates - Tim Leung, Office of Sponsored Research
Tim will review the recent SeRA release with focus on the new SeRA PTA Manager look and feel and the PDRF Budget Details page. There will also be time for general SeRA Q and A.

SoM Business Performance Excellence (Lean) Program - Mike Martyn, SISU Consulting Group
Mike has been partnering with various groups in the SoM over the last year to develop a “Lean" approach to process improvement and efficiency. As part of his training Mike is hosting a series of presentations on Lean principles. This presentation will focus on The Power of Incremental Kaizen introducing the fundamental approaches to problem solving and will cover the power and keys to incremental improvement through team-based problem solving,daily kaizen, and recognition. We encourage you to invite your teams and colleagues who are interested in learning about Lean process principles.
