About Our ILD Program

In March 2004, the Division of Pulmonary and Critical Care Medicine started a specialty clinic dedicated to patients with Interstitial Lung Disease (ILD). Over the years, the number of patients seen per month in our ILD Clinic has rapidly increased and includes patients with Sjogren’s Syndrome, Sarcoidosis, Scleroderma, Idiopathic Pulmonary Fibrosis (IPF), Hypersensitivity Pneumonitis due to an exposure such as birds, Mixed Connective Tissue disease secondary to Rheumatoid Arthritis, Neurofibromatosis, Polymyositis, and various occupational lung diseases such as Silicosis and Berryliosis.  Our mission and commitment is to improve the lives of patients with fibrotic lung disease by offering expert clinical care and striving to find new, safe, and more effective treatments.
