Research Interests
My clinical interests include cataracts, unusual cataract problems such as Marfan's syndrome, dislocated lenses and special IOL problems. I also see ophthalmic pathology and run the Stanford Ophthalmic Pathology Laboratory.
My primary research interest concerns the delivery of eye care in developing countries. I work chiefly in Ghana, W. Africa and Honduras on appropriate technology for cataract surgery and glaucoma treatment.
