Scientific Focus

Current Research Interests

Imaging cardiovascular disease, with a focus on coronary and vascular diseases, including atherosclerosis and aortic aneurysms. Projects include cellular and structural characterization of atherosclerotic plaque and aneurysms by MRI, optical imaging (bioluminescence and fluorescence), and PET of vascular inflammation in animals and humans, as well as noninvasive coronary angiography by MRI. Additional collaborative projects include coronary CTA and cardiac MRI of ischemic heart disease and stem cell therapy.
