We developed global approaches and produced key insights into the areas of CMV gene regulation, DNA replication and packaging, maturation, impact on the host cell, disease pathogenesis, latency and reactivation, host cell signaling and chemokine system. Epithelia cover external and internal body surfaces and undergo constant self-renewal while responding to diverse environmental stimuli.
