    My research focuses on the constraints that vulnerable populations face in making decisions that affect their health status, as well as the effects of government policies and programs designed to benefit vulnerable populations.

    My research and educational activities focus on evidence-based medicine, patient-centered concerns, health care quality, and patient safety. I enjoy forming and participating in multi-disciplinary teams to identify, highlight and formulate solutions to issues of suboptimal performance of the health care system, both in the US and abroad.
