  Research Interest

  My research interests are in immune monitoring in kidney transplant patients and in the management of sensitized patients. I am interested in translational studies to determine the immunological mechanisms underlying kidney transplant rejection and alloantibody production and to identify novel biomarkers to monitor the immune system in kidney transplant patients. I am also interested in designing novel protocols for desensitization and ABO incompatible kidney transplantation.

  Dr. Yang's research focuses on comprehensive evaluation of myocardial injury and restoration using novel molecular and cellular MRI techniques. By combining the chemical sensitivity of nuclear magnetic resonance with high spatial and temporal resolution, integrated imaging of a wide range of regenerative processes in the cardiovascular system is possible.
