Although remifentanil has been used to induce hypotension during surgery in infants, no pharmacokinetic-pharmacodynamic (PKPD) model exists for its quantitative analysis. Our aim was to determine the quantitative relationship between whole blood remifentanil concentration and its hypotensive effect during surgery in infants.
