Cutaneous sensation play the most important role in relationship of a human with the environment. Modality and thresholds of singular (monomodal) skin sensations evoked by laser radiation of visible and near infrared spectral ranges in skin points on palm and palmar sides of fingers were investigated. Similar singular sensations were registered for all volunteers. He-Cd laser, wavelength 442 nm, beam diameter 0.2 mm evoked threshold pin prick pain. Copper vapor laser, wavelengths 510 and 578 nm, fiber out put 0.4 mm evoked threshold pin prick pain for non blackened skin and warmth threshold sensation for blackened skin. YAG:Nd, wavelength 1064 nm, beam 0.2 mm laser evoked threshold pin prick pain. YAG:Nd, wavelength 1064 nm, beam 2 mm evoked threshold warmth sensation. Algorithms allowing to evoked singular (monomodal) skin sensation by YAG:Nd, Copper vapor and He-Cd lasers in healthy volunteers were found.
