Research InterestPlatelet-rich plasma (PRP) therapy has the potential to accelerate healing, but has been banned in athletes due to concerns that it may enhance performance. To understand the systemic effects of PRP, we will measure concentrations of six growth factors before and after treatment in 30 patients. We will assess the intra-individual change in each growth factor following PRP, as well as differences in growth factors that may arise based on injection site.
