Male and FemaleHealth of Volunteers:
People with the conditions listed in this trial can participate as controls.Key Inclusion Criteria:
Patients with newly diagnosed >= stage 3 breast cancer, >= stage III lung cancer and >= stage 2 prostate cancer and/or PSA >10 micrograms/L. This also includes patients with recurrent breast, lung and prostate cancer.
- Consecutive patients who are scheduled to undergo a conventional planar bone scan
- Patient may have had a prior PET or PET/CT scan for staging/restaging.
- Patient must be able to tolerate PET/CT (i.e., not claustrophobic and able to lie supine for 1 hour).
Determination of eligibility
The eligibility will be based solely on the clinical basis of >= stage 3 breast cancer, >= stage III lung cancer and >= stage 2 prostate cancer and/or PSA >10 micrograms/L as determined by the referring physician.
Key Exclusion Criteria:
- Patient < 18 years of age.
- Pregnant patients. (This is in order to avoid unnecessary radiation exposure. A pregnancy tests must be done in every women of child bearing age.)
- Patients who are cognitively unable to provide informed consent.
