Scientific Focus

Current Research Interests

Dr. Gerson's clinical expertise is in the diagnosis and management of gastroesophageal reflux disease, esophageal motility disorders, and obscure GI bleeding using capsule endoscpy and double balloon enteroscopy. Her research interests include epidemiology and clinical trials in GERD and Barrett's esophagus; cost-effectiveness studies in the areas of Barrett's esophagus and new technology; and quality of life assessment for patients with GERD and BE.
