Scientific Focus
Research Interests
Our laboratory focuses on host-viral interactions in the sexual and mother-to-child transmission of HIV-1. We developed human organotypic models to closely mimic in vivo infection. Our recent work has focused on developing immune-based and small molecule inhibitors of HIV-1 transmission.
