Research Interests
1. The use of perfluorocarbons in the treatment of neonatal respiratory failure and as a vehicle to deliver pharmacologically active agents to the lung; this includes both partial liquid ventilation (employing both conventional and high frequency ventilation) and total liquid ventilation.
2. Creation of a simulated delivery room for the purpose of teaching crisis management skills to pediatricians, neonatologists, peri-natologists, obstetricians, anesthesiologists and other health care professionals.
