Research InterestExamines the interplay between brain development and stress vulnerability via a multi-method approach that includes psychophysiology, neuroimaging, neuroendocrinology and phenomenology. Treatment development that focuses on individual and community-based interventions for stress related conditions in children and adolescents that experience traumatic stress.

Research InterestDr. Chang conducts research into various facets of bipolar disorder. He is currently conducting phenomenologic, biologic, pharmacologic, and genetic studies of bipolar disorder in adults and children. Research InterestDr. Hall’s areas of interest are the causes and treatments for childhood disorders, such as autism, fragile X, and Williams syndrome. Dr. Hall studies methods for understanding how environmental factors can affect the development of aberrant behaviors in these syndromes. The end goal of his research is to create patient-specific methods for treating cognitive and behavioral symptoms through the use of operant conditioning, social skills training, computer training packages, and fMRI analyses.

Research InterestJames Lock, MD, Ph.D. is Professor of Child Psychiatry and Pediatrics in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioral Sciences at Stanford University School of Medicine where he has taught since 1993. He is board certified in adult as well as child and adolescent psychiatry. Research InterestAs part of the Pediatric Bipolar Disorders Program, Dr. Singh conducts research in the phenomenology, neurobiology, pharmacology, and genetic aspects of bipolar disorder in children.
