Research Interests
Eran Bendavid is an infectious disease physician and an Instructor in the Division of General Internal Medicine. He researches the effect of global health policies on health of individuals in developing countries. Eran brings tools of health policy analysis to questions of importance in global health and infectious diseases. His past research includes cost-effectiveness of HIV care in Africa, modeling interventions for reducing HIV and TB disease burden, and evaluating United States policies and programs that affect health in developing countries. Eran’s work relies on sophisticated tools of cost-effectiveness, mathematical modeling of disease, and econometrics. His goal is to build on Stanford’s strengths in health policy research to improve health of individuals in developing countries.
