Scientific Focus
Current Research Interests
In the Khavari lab, I am currently working on two main projects focusing on the role of long, non-coding RNAs (lincRNAs).
1) Using a 3D model of normal skin differentiation, as well as microarray and sequencing technologies, we are identifying lincRNAs that are important for epidermal differentiation.
2) As a cancer biology graduate student, I am particular interested in learning more about lincRNAs that may be important for the initiation and maintenance in skin cancers.
