Current Research Interests
My area of greatest passion and expertise is medical education. I am particularly interested in teaching and curriculum design around interpersonal communication, cultural aspects of medicine, and the "professionalization" or acculturation of students as they move through training. Recent projects have included the development of a standardized patient exercise in patient-centered interviewing and a competency-based curriculum for residents in Developmental-Behavioral Pediatrics.
