"Peripatetic Epidemiology In The Service of Global Health"

A lifetime of epidemiologic studies conducted around the globe, illustrate the importance of curiosity, rigorous design, and the ethical imperative to engage in policy change when the data warrant.  These are illustrated by investigations of cholera transmission, smallpox control, disaster response, and vitamin A deficiency and its prevention.
