IPASS

Stanford served as a study site for I-PASS, a multi-site effort to standardize the handoff process for better handoffs and safer care.  Members of the hospitalist group led the study at LPCH and worked with the larger national I-PASS study group on curriculum development and dissemination.  The study group is now working on integrating the I-PASS communication skills and techniques into Family Centered Rounds with the effort of decreasing medical errors and improving the patient and family experience.  For more information see: http://www.ipasshandoffstudy.com.
