Recruitment and Campus Visits

Biosciences Diversity Recruitment
The Ph.D. programs in Biosciences have made efforts to recruit talented students of color interested in biomedical research from across the country. Stanford administrators and faculty have attended national minority science and/or research conferences, including the Annual Biomedical Research Conference for Minority Students (ABRCMS), the Society for Advancement of Chicanos and Native Americans in Science (SACNAS) national conference, and the American Indians in Science and Engineering Society (AISES) national conference, the Northern and Southern California Forum for Diversity in Graduate Education, and McNair Scholars National Conferences.
The Stanford Biosciences programs have been represented at campus graduate school information fairs, and members of the Stanford community have conducted information sessions at colleges and universities across the country.
A Travel Schedule is available for more information on events that Stanford representatives will be attending.
