Resources to support Stanford graduate students from diverse backgrounds
are widely available. We encourage you to explore the programs
and activities these organizations have to offer.
Stanford Community and Cultural Centers
- The
Asian American Activities Center (A3C) is the resource center
for Asian American student affairs at Stanford University. The
A3C sponsors academic, cultural and mentoring programs
for the entire campus involving students, faculty, staff and alumni.
- The Black Community
Services Center (BCSC) promotes an appreciation for education
and diversity within and outside the African-American community
at Stanford. The BCSC serves
as a
resource and information referral center and is a liaison with
Black communities outside of Stanford.
- The staff at the Disability
Resource Center (DRC) are committed to providing students
with disabilities with the support and services needed to allow
you the opportunity to participate
in
the rich and varied life of Stanford University.
- Founded in 1978, El
Centro Chicano is a vibrant student center that enhances
Stanford's cultural and intellectual life by providing valuable
resources to students,
community
members, and to over 20 student organizations. El Centro's
programs provide Stanford students the opportunity to explore
Chicano and
Latino culture, history and traditions.
- Hillel at Stanford invites
you to participate with them as they discover Jewish life through
cultural events, lectures and classes, religious celebrations,
and social action.
- Stanford's
LGBT Community Resources Center (LGBT • CRC) is committed
to creating a safe and open Stanford for people of all
genders and sexual orientations. The LGBT • CRC offers a range of academic,
leadership, and social programs, services and resources for lesbian,
gay, bisexual and transgender ("LGBT") students.
- The Native American
Cultural Center has a history of working to improve the quality
of life for American Indians, Alaska Natives and Native Hawaiians,
and
reaches out to
new students and their families to help them adjust
to life at Stanford.
- The Stanford
Women's Center serves as a center of communication and activities
for women, men, and woman/gender-oriented groups on campus.
It sponsors various academic,
health, and social campus events and programs.
