Ph.D. Student Advising
Doctoral student advising is assigned on a Program by Program basis. During orientation new students meet their Home Program faculty advisors and administrators. Home Program faculty advisors serve to help new students decide on classes and lab interests. Home Program administrators help with questions about stipends, bills and registration. Once a student chooses a lab, that PI becomes the student’s faculty advisor. As a student progresses through the program a thesis advisory committee is established to assist the student in his/her thesis work.
