Education Goals

During this session, you will learn:

  • Pediatric tumors are a paradigmatic set of diseases in that they are generally driven by very few driver mutations
  • Next-generation sequencing and a more favorable regulatory environment comprise enormous opportunities for pediatric oncology.
  • Hereditary predisposition to childhood cancer is a clinically under-appreciated challenge.
  • Very thorough preclinical filtering is needed to prioritize novel therapies for children with cancer.
