SPAARC Step 1: Listening Sessions

(facilitated by Brian Richter and Melanie Ramirez)

  • 10 Listening Sessions held June 22 - 26, 2020
  • 70 Participants
  • Goal: Answer 2 questions:
    • 1. What are your experiences with racism within the Department?
    • 2. –What steps should the department take towards becoming anti-racist?

SPAARC Step 2: Consensus Surveys

Participants: All Department Faculty, Staff, Learners

Methods: 2 Rounds of Anonymous Surveys

  1. Round 1: Identify solutions
  2. Round 2: Rank solutions in the action plan

SPAARC Step 3: Develop Action Plan  

Action Plan developed by using a Delphi process led by Heidi Feldman, MD, PhD

–Method: Use of anonymous surveys issued to participants in 3 rounds
